I found a piece of paper from years ago recently. On the paper I had simply written, “debt is making me unwell”. It wasn’t until months later I realised though that I needed help. If debt is affecting your life then keep reading and hopefully we can help.
Debt vs Your Health. There’s Only One Winner.
Nothing is worth letting your health suffer, so if you find yourself in a situation that you are worrying constantly and it is affecting your health then you should visit your GP.
Your GP may be able to prescribe something to help with your symptoms however they will be unable to solve the reason for the symptoms. Many will offer advice and give you information on where to get help, however until you tackle the full reason for the stress then it is hard to clear the symptoms.
Worry is a common emotion that we all suffer from on one level or another but it is when this affects our day to day functioning that it can so easily have turned into something else. If we get something from our GP to take the edge of our feelings that it was one thing though it does not solve the reason we are in that situation that is what we must look at.
Debt is a common problem nowadays for all walks of society and is not something that any of us should take lightly. If our debt is manageable and we are able to repay our contractual payments each month then this is classed as controlled debt and not something we should stress over.
If on the other hand you are struggling each month to make ends meet and you are unable to cover your living costs never mind you debt then you should seek immediate debt advice.
